FAQs

FAQs

Q: What is a therapeutic dose ?

A: Different doses of vitamins exert different effects on the body. A minimum dose of vitamin C is required to prevent scurvy, while a high dose has profound helpful effects on your immune system. A medium dose of magnesium is a muscle relaxant, while a high dose acts as a laxative. High doses of oral vitamin C are laxative, but IVs are not.

Q: How are IV vitamins helpful?

A: The only way to get therapeutic doses of certain vitamins is to administer them intravenously. Through your bloodstream, the nutrients are released throughout your body.

Q: Why IV?

A: 100% absorption; no barriers, immediate benefits.

Q: Why Dr Pure IV?

A: No preservatives, chemicals or plastics going into your vein… think about it

Q: Are IVs comfortable?

A: Yes, with proper technique, equipment and TLC.

Q: Why should certain vitamins not be mixed?

A: Vitamins and minerals are available in several forms and will chemically react upon mixing. It is crucial to dispense them properly for maximum utilization and to ensure the integrity of the vitamin is intact when it enters your body.

Q: Who can get an IV?

A: Nearly anyone can benefit from vitamin IVs; there are no contraindications and vitamin IVs are safe for all ages.

Q: Why does Dr Pure IV only use glass containers?

A: Don’t be fooled into thinking “flexible containers” or BPA-free products are not plastic. Glass is the only way to get toxin-free nutrients.

Q: Why doesn’t every IV facility use glass?

A: Glass costs more to produce, store and ship. You are worth it.

Q: How are glass containers better for the environment?

A: Glass containers will not decompose into dangerous chemicals or end up in the ocean for whales or sea turtles to consume.

Q: How does an IV work?

A: The IV container is placed higher than your body, which allows gravity to slowly drip the nutrients into your vein, and then to all other parts of the body.

Q: Side effects of getting an IV?

A: There are no known side effects to therapeutic doses of IV vitamins and nutrients. Many people are sensitive to the added preservatives. The majority of available IV products contain preservatives. Dr Pure IV never uses products with preservatives.

Q: Where are IVs administered?

A: IVs can and have been administered almost anywhere. They are most pleasant in an environment where you can relax.

Q: How do I decide what I need in the IV?

A: Unfortunately, today’s doctors are thoroughly trained in how to treat diseases with pharmaceuticals but learn only the minimum recommendations (RDA) of vitamins and nutrients. Our formulator was the editor of a natural medical publication for over 13 years. He personally edited hundreds of case study articles on the safe and therapeutic application of IV vitamins written by practicing physicians during his tenure. This unique experience provides you with the safest and most effective dosage and application.

Unless recommended otherwise, we suggest starting with vitamin C.

Q: How often can I get an IV?

A: IVs can be given daily or even continuously if needed. We usually recommend starting once a week to build up your body.

Q: How does technology help with getting an IV?

A: We utilize the latest in infrared vein locators and/or ultrasound to locate the easiest vein, avoiding valves and other unintended structures. This minimizes bruising and soreness.

Taking vitamins by capsule or tablet may not be absorbed due to (GUT) barriers.
